SELAYARPOS.COM ■ Selayar Islands Regent, H.M Basli Ali visited Ketapang Village in Banyuwangi Regency, East Java, on Thursday (20/9).
This visit was intended to explore further information related to Ketapang Village that has implemented IT-based applications.
The visit is expected to provide motivation for Selayar to be better in providing services related to tourism services.
From this place, Basli Ali was interested in Ketapang Village because he heard that Ketapang was the best in the management of information technology and was the village with the best management of public services and tourism in East Java.
The Regent was interested in knowing how the Ketapang Village managed its resources and human resources in managing the village government, as a tourism village.
Not what, said the Regent of Selayar, that all government programs could be developed if the service system was good.
"Likewise, of course in the development of tourism in Selayar. Government services must be increasingly improved in order to be able to influence visits to Selayar," he said.
The evidence is real, he added, we must be able to fight to develop our region (Selayar). If other regions can, then we must be more able.
The Regent received an explanation that Ketapang Village is a Government Tourism Village, where Ketapang Village is a Village that has used a one-door management system and has been based on information technology.
This village management has been based on information technology, where all government activities have used the application.
And now it is growing because it has the support of the district government program, in the Smart Village program.
Ketapang Village has a population of 14 thousand households, 180 RT, RW and has mountain and sea areas.
Ketapang village is visited by many village guests who want to see the Ketapang village management system which is considered successful in carrying the fragrant name of Banyuwangi Regency.
The Regent is in the Banyuwangi area of East Java following the Selayar BPPD Field Orientation Forum, one of which is to hold a meeting with the Banyuwangi Regency Government.
