SELAYARPOS.COM ■ Selayar Islands Regent, South Sulawesi, Basli Ali said the tourism potential of Selayar is not inferior to Raja Ampat in West Papua, Wakatobi in Southeast Sulawesi and Labuan Bajo, in NTT.
"What is in Raja Ampat is also in Selayar, at a lower cost," he said on one occasion after meeting with South Sulawesi Governor Nurdin Abdullah, in Makassar.
For this reason, Basli Ali hopes that Selayar, which has 130 islands, can become a tourism gateway for eastern Indonesia.
Moreover, he said, access to Selayar was easy by using a plane also available every day.
"People can immediately arrive at the center of the tourist destination, he is not tired, but can immediately see. Access is also smooth, there are already three planes," he concluded.
To the Governor of South Sulawesi, Basli Ali requested that the crossing facilities to Selayar be improved.
"This is if the route is good, it can be every hour," said the MBA, full of optimism.
